As new technologies strive to make all facets of our every-day lives easier, the ACH Network is evolving in parallel to reduce the friction in the authorization process by providing Receivers greater control and additional options. This presentation will provide a deep dive of Nacha’s “Meaningful Modernization” rule amendments implementing this fall, including the new concepts of Standing and Oral authorizations and Subsequent Entries, the business cases these new types of authorizations are designed for, and the new risks and controls Originators and financial institutions should consider in implementing these new tools.
