Wespay Town Hall: Fed Reserve’s Paper on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)
Description
In January, the Federal Reserve published a paper on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), i.e., a digital form of paper money. The Federal Reserve’s stated goal of the paper is to educate and begin a discussion of the benefits and risks of a U.S. CBDC with the public. It is not an indication that it is seeking a specific policy outcome or planning to announce any imminent decisions about issuing a CBDC.
This Town Hall is designed to provide our members a summary of the concepts introduced in the paper, and to outline the methods that Wespay will be assisting our members to make their voice heard on this potentially highly significant innovation in American money.
This webinar is complimentary to Wespay members.
